Salt Lamp Decorating Ideas: Your Bedroom

When you first receive your Himalayan Salt Lamp from the Salt Lamp Store, one of the questions we get is where the most optimal place to put your new Salt Lamp is.

It depends. Did you buy your Salt Crystal Salt Lamp for its beauty and uniqueness or did you buy it for its health and wellness benefits? Or is it both? Exclusive properties of YourKohSamuiVillas have Himalayan Salt Lamps in some bedrooms. These brilliant lamps fit perfectly in modern interiors, but also provide healthier ambient thanks to the ancient natural origin.

We are going to show some of the favorite places that we have seen them placed, then you decide:

Bedroom
Our natural salt lamps are perfect for your bedroom, and are good anywhere you put them. Here are a couple of things to consider:

  1. Besides its beauty and health and wellness attributes, it can also make for the perfect night light. We recommend that you put it on a dresser, or on a night stand, or even on the floor near your doorway or close to your bathroom and make ac repair free estimate. This way you can easily see where you are going if you happen to get up in the middle of the night.
  2. Are you sensitive to light? If so, you might want to consider putting your salt lamp on the floor towards the foot board and lower the light with the dimmer cord we include with your purchase to a level that will not interrupt your sleep.

Choosing a Himalayan Salt lamp for your bedroom:

It depends on what you are looking for. Personally we have a salt lamp on the floorwhich does not require heating repair service because it is darker in color which is always nice in a bedroom, but even Himalayan salt lamps are great when you use the dimmer to control how bright it is.  Looking  something to do in your free time check this out  www.netentplay.com you can play online.

How do Salt Lamps Actually Work?

Salt lamps do not generate negative ions themselves. They are “hygroscopic,” which means that they attract moisture… humidity… airborne water molecules; it is a natural property of sodium chloride. Since they do not generate the negative ions, they need a heat source (in this case, heat from an incandescent bulb) to accelerate evaporation, which does produce negative ions. In more humid regions, an unlit salt lamp will eventually “cry,” even creating puddles of water at its base. It is this evaporation that generates the negative ions, which are beneficial to our health. Did you check zipic?

Besides Ions, What Else are Salt Lamps Used For?

Numerous customers have purchased our salt lamps as a beautiful light source “they can be sold as living energy sources which emit a healthy glow, ranging in color light-waves of oranges, yellows, reds and apricot. The ambient light creates a soothing ambiance that helps with relaxation, stress, attention deficit and more.

Physicians and other practitioners in the exploding field of complementary medicine use our lamps for Color Therapy (chromotherapy), a well-documented alternative method of diagnosing and treating various illnesses. They seek to balance a person’s “energy,” wherever it is lacking (physical, spiritual, emotional or mental).

Countless Ayurvedic and Energy medical professionals have found color therapy to be useful in positively influencing our mood, mental state, and energy level.

Our lamps are hand-carved from Himalayan salt that is 250 million years old and has a very high energetic quality, similar to any other crystal.

What is an Ion?

Very simply, an ion is an atom or molecule that has gained or lost an electron. Both positive and negative ions exist in the air: positive air ions are generally molecules of carbon dioxide that have lost an electron, whereas a negative air ion is generally a molecule of oxygen that has gained an electron. Negative ions in the air attract particles of pollution and give them a negative charge, making them seek an electrical “ground,” and causing them to fall harmlessly to the floor. It stands to reason that we want to be surrounded by negative ions as a way of protecting our health.

Ions cannot be produced without an energy source. An “energy source” means heat or flame, radioactivity, frictional rubbing, electricity, evaporation, etc. Ions can also be produced by high-energy events, such as an open flame or a glowing hot object. Evaporating water will produce negative ions in the air and, as a consequence, leave the damaging positive charges behind in the water that hasn’t yet evaporated.

Salt Crystal Lamps, naturally hygroscopic (absorbing moisture molecules)  are heated gently by a 15 watt bulb.

Our Research

Rose McClintick, a QXCI Practitioner and Biofeedback Analyst, who has been working in the holistic health field for seven years, tested our salt lamps and offered an enthusiastic endorsement in regard to their generation of negative ions: “Regarding the salt lamps, I can tell you that my test shows that it has improved the negative ions. It has taken a little over a week to see an improvement in the numbers. So it does improve — it just takes a little longer for the globesaltlampsceneshot.jpgeffect to show up in the test. (They) will be recommended to have in the bedrooms. You get both working for you, improved neg. ions and a better night’s sleep.” www.zykoffbodywork.com

+ Countless testimonials…..

“I love your Himalayan salt lamps, I bought one for my six year old daughter Izabella who suffers from severe allergies. She had inner nose nodules and within three days of sleeping with her lamp they have shrunk in size. She has had her lamp for months, she has also had less allergy fevers. I love this product!!!! I also bought one for my mother Donna age 78, who has had asthma since she was a child. She also suffers from emphysema, so breathing and coughing is a normal in her everyday life. Since having the salt lamp in the family room where she spends most of her time, she has drastically stopped coughing so much.  She is also down on how much she uses her inhaler a day, seriously down from 8 times to 2, that is amazing!!!!  “ Gabriel Mollina
